A Season of Thankful All Year

I did some baking yesterday, scones and a pie, preparing for the big feast later this week. The smell of cinnamon wafted through my kitchen to permeate my home with a sense of comfort and gratitude.

I am beyond thankful for the many, many good things in my life. Clients and colleagues who have become friends. Work that is meaningful and will help to broaden understanding of those who have struggled and/or sacrificed. My family, biological and chosen, of course. And the ability to gather together over the holidays this year after having to satisfy ourselves with virtual visits last year.

At the end of conference calls, Zooms and in-person meetings, we part by wishing one another a Happy Thanksgiving. I challenge you to take time each day throughout the year to give thanks for at least one small thing.

What are you thankful for today?
