Milestones

This fall will mark Clear Focus Media, LLC's 10th anniversary. That is a milestone, to be sure. However, I've been doing this work for over 30 years. Another milestone.

I worked on my first video project in 1992. It was also my first project management gig. Thirty four years may seem like a long time to do the same type of work, but it doesn't really feel long. Maybe because every project requires a unique approach, and the projects have changed over time.

That first project in the early '90s was an educational video funded by a grant. The topic was custody rights for domestic abuse survivors. The topic remains important today, though specifics - and certainly the hairstyles today - would be different.

Over the years I've worked on more videos than I can count, in addition to writing magazine articles, web copy, plays and more for a wide variety of clients, large and small. I have produced, directed and written a number of documentaries, many of which earned international awards. I've worked on projects to create curriculum, online training courses, a mobile app, a virtual tour, and a virtual reality experience. So many cool opportunities that have taught me so much.

My professional path has also introduced me to some amazing people from all walks of life. Clients and interview subjects who have become friends. Definitely too many to list here.

I'll officially celebrate this milestone in September, but will be grateful throughout the year. And grateful to all who were a part of the journey.
