I was recently notified that Tuba Ted was selected to show at the Indie Film Wisconsin Film Festival!! I am pumped, and appreciate the show of support.
Due to the continued rise of COVID-19 cases, this festival, like so many others, is indefinitely postponed.
I can only imagine the amount of behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a festival, and no matter how disappointed I am (and all the other filmmakers in the same situation) at the delays in having my work shown, it must be 100 times more so for the festival organizers. They have already invested countless hours in viewing, discussing and selecting films. They had their venues and dates set, volunteers scheduled, and promotion underway.
And now, we wait. We wait for more forms of treatment and potential vaccines. We wait for people to realize that this deadly illness does not go away just because the weather is warm and the sun is shining. We wait for people to get on board with diligent social distancing, consistent hand washing and mask wearing.
If we all do our part, we can return to more "normal" patterns that much sooner.
